Foton Tunland On Tour RoadShow kicks off at SM Mall Of Asia

Interested in taking a closer look at the all-new Foton Tunland V7 & V9 pickup trucks but have yet to visit a dealership? Worry no more as Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI) is bringing their full-size, diesel-hybrid pickup trucks to your nearest mall.

FMPI recently launched the first leg of the Tunland On Tour Roadshow Series at the SM Mall of Asia. First launched at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the all-new Tunland V7 and V9 full-size pickups offer new levels of luxury, space, and technology. Moreover, both trucks are powered by an electrified turbo-diesel inline-four that’s paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The first leg of the roadshow tour kicked off at the Main Atrium of the SM Mall of Asia last October 3 and will run until October 9. Here, both the V7 and V9 pickups have been outfitted with outdoor gear courtesy of Overland Kings. These serve to highlight the lifestyle aspect of the diesel-hybrid (and coding-exempt) pickup trucks.

“We're excited to let the public take an up close and personal look at our new Tunland V7 and V9 pickups, which will set new size, luxury, performance, and fuel-efficiency benchmarks in the lifestyle pickup truck segment,” said Levy Santos, FMPI General Manager.

As mentioned earlier, the Tunland V7 and V9 pickup trucks are powered by a 2.0L Aucan turbo-diesel engine that benefits from a 48V mild-hybrid system. This gives both trucks 161 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which is available in 4x2 and 4x4 variants. In addition, the V7 has a heavy-duty leaf spring rear suspension while the V9 has a more comfort-oriented five-link rear suspension.

Inside, both the Tunland V7 and V9 feature leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, a leather-wrapped multi-functional steering wheel, full LCD instrumentation, and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

“Aside from world-class technology, superior product value, and fuel-efficiency, the Tunland is backed by a solid 5-year/150,000-km warranty,” added Santos.

After SM Mall of Asia, expect the Tunland on Tour Roadshow Series to hit another shopping mall perhaps near you.
