Mitsubishi PH drops video of Destinator, will they launch it this year?
Back in July 2025, Mitsubishi officially launched its newest crossover SUV called the Destinator. First debuting in Indonesia, the turbocharged 7-seater crossover will be built at the company’s Krama Yudha facility in West Java, which also builds other models like the Xpander, Xpander Cross, and the XForce.
Since Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) already gets the Xpander lineup and the XForce from Indonesia, we won’t be surprised if the Destinator also makes its way here should they decide to launch it. But to our surprise, it looks like MMPC has “unofficially” confirmed the Destinator for the local market.

This comes after MMPC posted a 10-second teaser video of the Destinator and described it as a vehicle built to be “your family’s getaway to extraordinary destinations and memorable experiences”. Since the Destinator was first revealed as the “DST Concept” during the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), it’s only natural for MMPC to eventually offer the production version.

But the question remains, could we see the Destinator being built at MMPC’s Sta. Rosa facility in the not-so-distant future? For now, MMPC has yet to say what new model it will manufacture after MMC president & CEO Takao Kato pledged to invest PHP 7 billion in the Philippines over the course of five years. Should it not be the Destinator, we could expect the Xpander to be built locally alongside the Mirage G4 and the evergreen L300.
With MMPC already teasing the Destinator as early as now, can we expect the automaker to launch or preview the turbocharged 7-seater crossover before the year ends?
