Chevrolet reveals first details, images of 2025 Colorado facelift

Earlier this year, Chevrolet Brazil surprised the motoring world when they revealed the first images of the 2024 Spin. Featuring a heavily refreshed exterior and interior, the updated MPV makes us wish the three-row family vehicle was still available in the Philippines.

Fast forward several months later and Chevrolet Brazil is not yet done with surprises. Making its debut in the South American country is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Also called the S10 in other markets, the workhorse has been given a thorough update inside & out to keep the aging pickup truck fresh and up-to-date.

The front end has been redesigned and features some styling cues from the North American Colorado. It boasts a new dual-port grille design, new air intakes, more stylish LED headlights, and a faux skid plate that's integrated with the front bumper. Depending on the variant chosen, the grille accent can come in various finishes like chrome (High Country), black chrome (Z71), and body color (LTZ).

Also worth mentioning are the more sculpted fenders, new alloy wheel designs for each Colorado variant, new LED taillights, a restyled tailgate, and a sports bar for the bed that's exclusive only to the Z71 version of the 2025 Colorado.

Hop inside and the interior updates bring the 2025 Colorado into the digital age. There's a high-resolution 11-inch digital instrument panel along with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. There are also wider and softer seats that aim to deliver a more comfortable riding experience. Other available features present inside the 2025 Colorado include automatic climate control, leather upholstery, remote engine start, front & rear center armrests, and a suite of intelligent driver aids.

Under the hood, the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine gets a slight bump in power. It now makes 204 PS along with 510 Nm of torque which translates to an increase of 4 PS and 10 Nm, respectively. Instead of a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the updated pickup truck now gets an 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from the US-spec Colorado.

The chassis may already be over a decade old, but that didn't stop Chevy from giving it better road manners. For 2025, the chassis gets a retuned suspension, new dampers, wider tracks, and even a new steering column.

While it's highly unlikely that the Colorado will make a comeback in the Philippine market, it's nice to know that the vehicle continues to be available in other markets.
