Refreshed Toyota Corolla Cross has arrived with PHP 1.498M starting price
After announcing they would be revealing a new electrified vehicle a couple of weeks ago, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially taken the covers off the 2024 Corolla Cross.
Featuring a refreshed look inside and out, the updated crossover is now available with new & improved features, a more stylish exterior, and a full-hybrid lineup.

You read right, the 2024 Corolla Cross is now only available with a hybrid powertrain. Whereas the pre-facelift version used to be offered with a non-hybrid 1.8-liter engine, the 2024 facelift sees the Corolla Cross only powered by the carried-over 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain. That means the G, V, and GR-S variants now all make 122 PS combined along with 142 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm.

Power is then sent to an eCVT that drives the front wheels and is complemented by three drive modes; Eco, Power, and EV.

Moving to the exterior changes, the 2024 Corolla Cross for the Philippine market looks just like the one that was revealed for the Thai market a couple of months ago. First up is the new grille which can be seen on the G and V variants. This gives the crossover a more stylish look that sees the front end get a Lexus-like finish thanks to the honeycomb grille that’s integrated with the front bumper.
There’s also a new LED light bar that appears to seamlessly blend with the LED headlights & daytime running lights, a busier front bumper, and new faux side air intakes that give the vehicle a fresher look. Aside from those, it also gets redesigned LED headlights with sequential LED turn signals that are exclusive to the V and GR-S versions, along with a panoramic sunroof that replaces the tilt/slide sunroof from before (GR-S variant only).

Speaking of GR-S (Gazoo Racing Sport), this particular variant gets a sportier appearance thanks to the generous amount of GR-S goodies that include unique grille & bumpers, unique 18-inch alloy wheels (V and G variants only get regular 17- and 18-inch alloys), a GR-S-tuned suspension system, and GR-S leather seats.

Hop inside and Toyota was quite busy introducing some key changes. While some might say it still looks quite the same, those with keen eyes will immediately notice the new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that’s exclusive to the GR-S variant. Meanwhile, the V version comes with a 7-inch multi-info display paired with analog gauges while the G offering gets a 4.2-inch multi-info screen with traditional gauges.

The infotainment system was also upgraded and now has a bigger 10-inch touchscreen display. It supports wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, intelligent voice control, and Wi-Fi hotspot. Audio is then routed through a 6-speaker sound system. Other key features available inside the 2024 Corolla Cross include a new dual-zone climate control system with rear vents, a wireless charging pad, a power tailgate with kick sensor, leather upholstery (V only, G gets fabric), rear USB-C charging ports, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The V and GR-S versions come with Toyota Safety Sense for extra peace of mind. This gives the 2024 Corolla Cross intelligent driver aids such as; a pre-collision system, automatic high beam, lane-tracing assist, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control. Other available safety features include vehicle stability control, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, a panoramic view monitor (V & G variants only get a reverse camera), front & rear parking sensors, and a host of airbags.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross will be on display at the SM Aura Exhibit until April 14.
