LTO reveals key specs of all-new F-150 Raptor, will Ford PH launch it?
Earlier this month, we reported that Ford Philippines appears to be preparing to launch the V6-powered Ranger Raptor. Based on regulatory approval, the Blue Oval has received clearance to bring a light-duty vehicle that comes with an engine displacement of 2956cc. After doing some research and crunching some numbers, the mystery light-duty vehicle will likely be the all-new Ranger Raptor that's powered by a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 pushing 392 PS and 583 Nm of torque.
Fast forward to the end of August, and Ford Philippines might also be launching another high-performance pickup truck. Based on a recently approved Memorandum Circular by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the government agency has released key specifications of the all-new F-150 Raptor for the Philippine market.

For starters, it will be powered by a 3.5L (3497cc) twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. Official output figures have yet to be revealed although based on what the US market gets, the six-cylinder engine cranks out 450 PS along with a meaty 691 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the F-150 Raptor will have massive tires that measure 315/70 and will be shod in 17-inch alloy wheels.
Size-wise, the F-150 Raptor will measure 5892mm long, 2430mm wide, and 1958mm tall. The high-performance pickup truck will also have a 3693mm wheelbase and 248mm of ground clearance. As far as weight is concerned, the F-150 Raptor will have a curb weight of around 2691 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 3334 kg.
Other details about the F-150 Raptor have yet to be revealed. However, we're more curious whether Ford Philippines will be the one who will actually launch the pickup truck. That's because there's no direct mention of the automaker in Memorandum Circular which leads us to believe gray market dealers might also be the ones who might eventually bring the F-150 Raptor to PH shores.

In the past, we've seen examples of the previous generation F-150 Raptors roaming Philippine roads which was made possible by gray market importers. Ford Philippines only brought back the F-150 nameplate a few years ago and they only brought the regular versions of the full-size pickup. It was initially offered with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that produces 380 PS with 637 Nm of torque and then was only made available with a 3.0L Powerstroke diesel V6 that generates 250 PS and 597 Nm of pull.
With Ford Philippines still quiet regarding the F-150 Raptor (and the Ranger Raptor), we will be keeping a close eye on whether the Blue Oval has something special in store soon in the coming months. Heck, perhaps we might see something special right around September or at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) as Ford will be attending this year.
