Baguio City signs Single Ticketing System MOA with LTO

Baguio City and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) today signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the interconnectivity between the LGU and the agency’s Single Ticketing System (STS).

“Baguio is the first major city in northern Luzon that we will now interlink with our information system,” said LTO Assistant Secretary, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II.

Like the STS in Metro Manila, traffic violators will be charged according to the uniform fines and penalties of the LTO. The traffic violator’s records will also go straight into LTO’s Land Transportation Management System or LTMS.

“I’m sure this exchange of information will be both helpful in terms of traffic management, in terms of disciplining our drivers, in terms of streamlining payment of penalties… it will be easier to our motorists when settling fines,” added Mendoza.

As LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza mentioned, Baguio City is officially the first major city in northern Luzon that will implement the STS with the LTO. Other LGUs outside NCR are Bacoor, Naga City, and the Province of Bataan.
