Traslacion 2026 route announced, avoid Manila on January 9
This coming Friday, January 9, 2026, the Traslacion – the Procession of the Jesus Nazareno – will proceed through its route, along with the millions of its devotees. This annual procession will start at dawn in Quirino Grandstand, near Luneta, and will pass through several streets before concluding at Quiapo Church.
Motorists are advised to avoid Manila and nearby areas or postpone their trip to a later date.

2026 Traslacion Route
With the millions of devotees, expect heavy traffic in the City of Manila and nearby areas. Road closures will also be implemented as early as January 8, 2026.
As always, the Traslacion will start at the Quirino Grandstand and will pass through several streets before concluding at the historic Quiapo Church.
After Quirino Grandstand, the procession will then turn left onto Katigbak Drive before making a right turn onto Padre Burgos Avenue, continuing all the way to Finance Road. From there, the route proceeds straight to Ayala Bridge.
After crossing the bridge, the procession will turn left onto Palanca Street, then right onto Quezon Boulevard. It continues with a right turn onto Arlegui Street, followed by successive right turns onto Fraternal Street and Vergara Street.
The route then shifts left onto Duque de Alba Street, left again to Castillejos Street, and left onto Farnecio Street, before making a right turn back to Arlegui Street. From there, it turns left onto Nepomuceno Street, followed by another left onto Concepcion Aguila Street.
The procession continues with a right turn onto Carcer Street, then right onto Hidalgo Street, moving toward Plaza del Carmen. It then turns left onto Bilibid Viejo Street, continuing to Gonzalo Puyat Street, before making a left turn to J.P. De Guzman Street.
From there, the route goes right onto Hidalgo Street, left onto Quezon Boulevard, and right onto Palanca Street, heading toward Quezon Bridge. The final stretch takes the procession right onto Villalobos Street, passing through Plaza Miranda, and finally concluding at Quiapo Church.

Vehicle rerouting
To help manage traffic flow, motorists are advised to follow these temporary rerouting schemes depending on their direction of travel:
Motorists traveling southbound on Mel Lopez Boulevard (R-10) en route to Roxas Boulevard should turn left onto Capulong Street, continue straight to Yuseco Street, then proceed to Lacson Avenue before heading to their destination. (Old truck route)
Vehicles coming southbound from A. Mendoza Street and bound for Quezon Boulevard should turn right onto Fugoso Street, then proceed to Rizal Avenue to reach their destination.
Those traveling along the westbound lane of España Boulevard and heading to Quezon Boulevard are advised to go straight to N. Reyes Street, then continue to C.M. Recto Avenue.
Motorists on southbound Rizal Avenue intending to cross MacArthur Bridge toward southern destinations should turn left onto C.M. Recto Avenue, then left again to Legarda Street.
Vehicles coming from J. Abad Santos Avenue / R. Regente and heading to the Intramuros area should turn right onto San Fernando Street, left to Madrid Street, then left to Muelle de la Industria, crossing via the Binondo–Intramuros Bridge to A. Soriano Avenue.
Alternatively, motorists may take Juan Luna Street, then right to Muelle de la Industria, also crossing via the Binondo–Intramuros Bridge.
Light vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive should pass through Anda Circle, then turn left onto A. Soriano Avenue toward their destination.
Northbound vehicles, coming from A. Mabini Street or Maria Orosa Street and heading toward T.M. Kalaw Avenue, should turn right onto U.N. Avenue, continue straight to P. Guanzon Street, then cross via Mabini Bridge.
Motorists traveling northbound on Taft Avenue bound for Padre Burgos Avenue should also turn right onto U.N. Avenue, proceed to P. Guanzon Street, and cross Mabini Bridge.
Trucks and trailers traveling northbound on Osmeña Highway and heading to Mel Lopez Boulevard (Pier Area) must turn right onto President Quirino Avenue, then proceed to Mabini Bridge.
Trucks and trailers coming northbound from Roxas Boulevard bound for the Pier Area should follow the same route: right to President Quirino Avenue, then Mabini Bridge. (Old truck route)
Light vehicles traveling northbound on Roxas Boulevard and heading toward Padre Burgos Avenue should turn right onto U.N. Avenue, go straight to P. Guanzon Street, and cross via Mabini Bridge.
