Record-breaking 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 has arrived with 510 HP
For most Porsche enthusiasts, there is only one version of the 911 that can deliver the ultimate thrill, the GT3. It's essentially a track-tuned machine that's street legal and emphasizes the importance of having a lightweight body, a manual gearbox, and a good ol' naturally-aspirated engine.
Fans who have wished and waited to get their hands on one need not wait any longer, as Porsche Philippines distributor PGA Cars Inc. has officially revealed the all-new 911 GT3. Now based on the 992.2 generation, the latest 911 GT3 continues the tradition of a motorsport-focused powertrain and drivetrain.
As tradition, the all-new 911 GT3 comes with a naturally-aspirated 4.0L flat-six that generates 510 HP and 450 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the rear wheels via a proper six-speed manual or the optional seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Complementing the 911 GT3's powerful flat-six is its lightweight body, which only tips the scales at 1,420 kg. This was made possible thanks to aluminum wheels and a new lithium-ion battery.

The latest 911 GT3 also gets sharpened aerodynamics like revised front aerodynamic elements, including the diffuser, spoiler lip, and underbody fins. All of these translate to improved airflow and increased downforce. Redesigned Matrix LED headlamps integrate all lighting functions into a single unit, allowing for larger front air intakes. At the rear, a redesigned diffuser, cooling inlets, and newly angled wing side plates enhance aerodynamic efficiency and thermal management.
Chassis revisions further elevate performance, as it comes with double-wishbone front suspension that now features aerodynamically shaped trailing arms adopted from the 911 GT3 RS. This improves high-speed stability and brake cooling. Relocated ball-joint mountings, meanwhile, reduce pitching under heavy braking, contributing to more consistent control on road and track.

Further cementing the 992.2 911 GT3's performance pedigree is the record-breaking Nurburgring-Nordschleife lap it was able to achieve thanks to Porsche development driver Jörg Bergmeister. The GT3 used was equipped with a six-speed manual and the Weissach Package, which allowed Bergmeister to complete the 20.832-kilometer track in just 6 minutes and 56.294 seconds. This makes the latest Porsche 911 GT3 have the fastest lap by a production car with a manual transmission at the Nurburgring.
For those who want the ultimate Porsche 911, the all-new GT3 is now available at PGA Cars Inc.
