Mazda reveals new teasers of next-gen CX-5 after leak
Last month, a leaked image of what could be the all-new Mazda CX-5 surfaced on the web. Aside from the obvious vanity plate, the supposed next-generation CX-5 gets a major redesign, particularly in the front fascia. Based on a lone overexposed image, the second-generation Mazda CX-5 will get a new pair of LED headlights, a redesigned grille, and what appear to be new lower air intakes.
Fast forward to July, Mazda has officially released new teaser images of the upcoming 2026 CX-5. It's set to make its global debut next week on July 10, 2025, and it's set to fit into urban and active lifestyles seamlessly, according to Mazda.

Based on the teaser photos Mazda released, the CX-5 will get a sleek set of LED headlights along with new eye-catching LED daytime running lights. Side-by-side with the leaked photo, and it looks like the all-new CX-5 will indeed get one heck of a makeover. Also worth mentioning is the redesigned grille, which also checks out based on the leak we found last month. Not only is it bigger, but it gets a more distinct look than before.
We also caught a glimpse of the CX-5's new rear fascia, which appears to have taken some inspiration from BMW. Not only does it get a more angular tailgate and back window, but it also gets a dynamic set of LED taillights that would look great on the X3 or X5. As before, generous use of black body cladding can be seen on the CX-5, although we won't be surprised if top-of-the-line variants get a body-colored cladding.

Other details and specifications of the all-new Mazda CX-5 are not yet available. However, it's more than likely that the next-generation crossover will be offered with SkyActiv-G and SkyActiv-G turbocharged engines. Moreover, the new SkyActiv-Z hybrid powertrain will be available in the all-new CX-5, albeit at a later date.
With only just a week to go before its big debut, we'll be keeping a close eye on possible leaks and other teaser information about the next-generation Mazda CX-5.
