Jetour Auto PH expands PHEV lineup with T1 Lightning
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) market continues to heat up after Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) launched its newest electrified vehicle in the country.
Officially making its debut is the all-new 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM, which slots below the much bigger Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM. Featuring design elements inspired by the T2 but in a more compact package, the Jetour T1 Lightning brings together go-anywhere SUV capability with electrified performance.
Present during the official launch of the T1 included key executives from UAAGI, Jetour Auto International (JAI), and JAPI. These include: Ke Chuandeng, president of JAI, Miguelito Jose, Managing Director of JAPI, Timothy Sytin, Executive Director of JAPI, and Rommel Sytin, Chairman of UAAGI.
Starting with what powers the T1, it gets a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 140 PS with 215 Nm of torque. It is then assisted by an electric motor that generates 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque. The motor is then powered by a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack, which gives the T1 an EV range of up to 120 km based on the WLTC cycle. More importantly, Jetour claims the T1 Lightning can deliver a combined range of more than 1,200 km under ideal conditions.
Power is sent to the wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT), which comes with selectable drive modes: Eco, Sport, Normal, and Snow.
Recharging the 26.7 kWh battery pack can be done via a Type 2/CCS charger that supports AC and fast DC charging. The former can recharge the T1 Lightning from 30% to 80% in less than 4 hours via a 7kW charger. Meanwhile, a fast DC charger can recharge the T1 Lightning from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Need to power up a campsite or some appliances at home during a blackout? The T1 Lightning also comes with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function.
Size-wise, the T1 Lightning measures 4705mm long, 1967mm wide, 1843mm tall, and has a generous 2800mm wheelbase. It also has 200mm of ground clearance, which is more than enough for drivers to tackle rough roads and some light trails with ease. Complementing the T1 Lightning’s rugged looks are the short overhangs, bold black grille with integrated daytime running lights, distinct LED headlights, massive 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/60 tires, side steps, functional roof rails, and a power tailgate with memory function.
Hop inside, and occupants are welcomed into a sleek and high-tech cabin, complete with digital screens. In front of the driver is a high-resolution 10.25-inch instrument panel that can show various vehicle parameters. On the other hand, the center dashboard is equipped with an even bigger 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
The touchscreen is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset that delivers crisp graphics, the ability to show multiple screens at once, and a wide array of features. In addition, the system supports both Apple CarPlay & Android Auto as standard, along with a 9-speaker sound system from Sony.
Those who need to recharge their devices need not worry, as the T1 comes with plenty of USB and Type-C charging ports for both the front & rear occupants. Jetour even threw in 12V power sockets in the front and rear for good measure.
Other in-car amenities in the T1 Lightning include power-adjustable front seats with a memory function for the driver, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, rear privacy glass, front & rear center armrests, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, smart keyless entry with push-button start, and a double-glazed windshield for a quieter cabin.

Available colors for the 2026 Jetour T1 Lightning T1 i-DM PHEV include: Night Black, Sand Gold, Electroplated Green, Silver Snow, and Khaki White. The first 100 customers who purchase the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM will get a complimentary smartwatch.

The Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM is retailing at a special introductory price of PHP 1,798,000 (regular price is PHP 1,898,000).
