Hybrid version of XForce to have global launch on March 20
Among the established Japanese brands in the country, Mitsubishi is one of those who have been holding their horses when it comes to spreading electrification across its model lineup. Currently, they only have the Outlander PHEV as their sole hybrid offering, and even that is only available in indent orders.
Over in Thailand, the Xpander and Xpander Cross MPVs already have electrified versions that made their debut at last year’s Bangkok International Motor Show. Perhaps, this upcoming model could be what MMPC is waiting for.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand is holding the global launch of the XForce hybrid on March 20. This will be the production version that was spotted in camouflage back in January.

Much like its 7-seater MPV siblings, the XForce hybrid is getting a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine paired to an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery to form the hybrid system. Under this setup, the hybrid unit puts out a total of 115 PS and 255 Nm of torque through an e-CVT driving the front wheels.
The XForce hybrid is likely to carry over the look and features of the non-hybrid models, which include things such as ADAS, a Yamaha premium sound system, multiple terrain modes, plus Active Yaw Control in Mitsubishi’s All Wheel Control technology.
With the XForce hybrid launching in the same week as the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, we’re willing to bet that the crossover will make its first public appearance at that event.
