Porsche expands 2024 Panamera lineup with 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid models

After launching the all-new Porsche Panamera last year in Shanghai, the Stuttgart-based automaker has launched new variants of its luxury sports vehicle. We've already seen the top-of-the-line E-Turbo Hybrid that comes with an electrified twin-turbo V8 and the regular Panamera and Panamera 4 powered by an improved 2.9-liter turbo V6. Now, the automaker has revealed additional electrified variants of the 2024 Panamera.

Joining the E-Turbo Hybrid are the newly-revealed Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. Both vehicles are turbocharged plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles that dole out some serious power while also being environmentally friendly. This is made possible thanks to a 2.9-liter turbo V6 that's assisted by a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor that's housed inside the 8-speed automatic gearbox.

This gives the “base” model Panamera 4 E-Hybrid a total system output of 470 PS with 650 Nm of torque while the more powerful Panamera 4S E-Hybrid churns out a more impressive 544 PS and 750 Nm of pull. The former can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds while the latter can do it faster in 3.7 seconds. Regarding top speed, the 4 E-Hybrid can reach 280 km/h while the 4S E-Hybrid can achieve 290 km/h.

Both turbo PHEVs are impressive. However, they are still eclipsed by the range-topping Panamera E-Turbo Hybrid which pumps out 680 PS with 930 Nm of torque. It can catapult itself from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a hair-raising 314 km/h top speed. It also has an impressive electric range of up to 93 km.

Porsche has yet to reveal the electric ranges of the 4 E-Hybrid and the 4S E-Hybrid. However, we won't be surprised if the two vehicles will also have a similar electric range as the Turbo E-Hybrid or perhaps even better.

Despite not being as powerful as the Turbo E-Hybrid models, Porsche made sure that the lesser PHEVs are still packed with plenty of features. For starters, both variants are fitted with two-chamber springs with adaptive dampers, Matrix LED headlights, power-adjustable seats both front & back, soft-close doors, a triple-screen dashboard, a rear entertainment system, a wireless charging pad, and more.

With Porsche continuing to offer more plug-in turbo-hybrid models, customers are spoiled for choice when selecting their preferred Panamera. However, the best is yet to come as Porsche will also be revealing something even more powerful than the E-Turbo Hybrid, the Turbo S E-Hybrid. That will be something to look out for once Porsche officially unveils it in the future.
