Modena Motorsports Inc officially reveals all-new Maserati GranTurismo

After first arriving in Asia-Pacific late last year, Maserati Philippines distributor Modena Motorsports Inc. (MMI) has officially launched the all-new GranTurismo at their brand-new showroom at the Primex Tower along EDSA cor. Connecticut Street in San Juan City.

Now on its second generation, the grand tourer gets a brand-new look inside and out, a new generation platform, more creature comforts, and a powerful twin-turbo V6 that replaces the previous V8 engine.

Starting with what’s under the hood, the all-new GranTurismo gets the 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 that’s available in two states of tune. In the Modena version, the six-cylinder puts out an impressive 496 PS and 600 Nm of torque. This allows the vehicle to get from 0 - 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 302 km/h.

Those that prefer a bit more oomph can get the top-the-line Trofeo variant which serves up a whopping 557 PS and 650 Nm of pull. 0 - 100 km/h is easily achieved in 3.5 seconds while its top speed is rated at 320 km/h. Both the GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo versions are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission by ZF.

Design-wise, the all-new GranTurismo features a long hood & short deck design and comes with the brand’s signature grille at the front. Further adding to the vehicle’s sporty looks are the eye-catching LED headlights, side air intakes on the front bumper, and the distinct vents on the front fenders.

Around the back, the GranTurismo gets a nice pair of wraparound LED taillights and is complemented by an integrated spoiler on the trunk lid. There’s also a diffuser on the rear bumper and quad exhausts that exit through the said bumper.

To remind everyone that this is indeed a Maserati, the brand’s signature “Trident” logo is present for all to see on the vehicle’s rear quarter panels near the roof. Last but not least, both the Trofeo and Modena versions come with 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the back.

Hop inside and the 2+2 GranTurismo greets the driver and passengers with a stylish and sporty dashboard. If the cabin looks familiar, that’s because it shares its design with the Grecale crossover SUV. There’s a 12.2-inch digital instrument panel along with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. An additional 8.8-inch touchscreen is also present below the media display and serves as the vehicle’s climate control.

The audiophiles will be happy to know that the 2024 GranTurismo can be specified with either a 13-speaker or a 19-speaker Sonus Faber sound system. Also worth mentioning inside the all-new GranTurismo is the multifunction leather steering wheel that comes with the “manettino-style” rotating drive mode dial and push-button start.
