Fully loaded Jaecoo 8 will be revealed in full next month
We already know that newcomers Omoda and Jaecoo will officially make their presence felt at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). After delaying their market launch, both brands are now ready to show what they will offer in the Philippine market.
We’ve also received information that the automaker plans to launch the Omoda 5 & Omoda 5 EV, as well as the Jaecoo 7. But if you thought they would only bring a total of 3 vehicles this April, the company has announced that they will also be debuting the Jaecoo 8. You read right, the midsize go-anywhere crossover SUV will also be present at MIAS 2024.

Official details and specs have yet to be revealed by Jaecoo. However, they did mention that it will come with an intelligent four-wheel drive (4WD) system. Called the “All Road Drive Intelligent System” (ARDIS), the Jaecoo 8 features vectorial 4WD control that will deliver real-time rear-wheel torque distribution for improved traction & grip over any terrain. The system also comes with 7 driving modes to ensure that the Jaecoo 8 can take on kinds of road surfaces.
Under the hood, the Jaecoo 8 will come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with direct injection. It puts out a healthy 249 PS along with a beefy 385 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission by Getrag. Size-wise, the Jaecoo 8 measures 4820mm long, 1930mm wide, 1710mm tall, and has a 2820mm wheelbase. Equally impressive is its generous cargo space that Jaecoo claims can carry up to 717 liters worth of luggage.

When it comes to features, the Jaecoo 8 will have a fully loaded cabin complete with various amenities. These include a massive 24.6-inch curved screen that combines the touchscreen infotainment system & digital instrument cluster, a 14-speaker Sony sound system, a 255-color LED ambient lighting system, Nappa leather upholstery, a suede roof, wood texture elements, and a magnetic levitation suspension system that can automatically adjust the ride comfort in real-time.
