After MIAS preview, the JAC Ytterby EV will be available in dealerships on Sept 27
Remember when JAC Cars Philippines previewed a cute and funky-looking EV at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS)? After giving the public a glimpse of it at the World Trade Center several months ago, the automaker announced the retro-modern Ytterby EV will be available at dealerships starting September 27, 2024.
Better yet, the automaker has also released the specs, variants, and pricing of the JAC Ytterby EV. Two variants will be available: the Ytterby Air 405 and the Ytterby Pro 505. The former is equipped with a 41 kWh battery pack, which supplies power to an electric motor that makes 94 PS with 135 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the latter comes with a 51.5 kWh battery pack and powers a more powerful electric motor that puts out 134 PS and 175 Nm of torque.

JAC claims the Air 405 can cover up to 405 km while the Pro 505 can travel up to 505 km based on the CLTC cycle. Recharging the EV via the onboard 7kW AC charger will fully recharge the Ytterby Air 405 in 7.5 hours while the Ytterby Pro 505 will take longer at 9 hours.
Need to recharge the EV as fast as possible? A DC charger can recharge both variants from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. In terms of efficiency, JAC claims the Yttterby can deliver 10 kWh per 100 km. Last but not least, the top-of-the-line Pro 505 comes with a V2L (or vehicle-to-load) feature to power up devices in case of blackouts.
Size-wise, the Ytterby measures 4025mm long, 1770mm wide, 1560mm tall, and has a 2620mm wheelbase. Ground clearance stands at 160mm while luggage capacity is rated at 250 liters with the second-row seats deployed. When it comes to exterior features, all variants of the Ytterby come with LED “Angel Eyes” headlights, LED taillights, hidden door handles, and tri-color petal alloy wheels.

Hop inside and the Ytterby welcomes occupants into a sleek & modern-looking cabin. A pair of displays sit on the dashboard - one is the instrument panel while the other is the touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. All variants come with leather seats, a wireless charging pad, automatic climate control with a PM 2.5 filtration, front & rear charging ports, and 64-color ambient lighting.
Exclusive features available only for the range-topping version include a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats with ventilation, a driver memory seat, a 360-degree camera system (reverse camera for lower models), and a 6-speaker sound system (4-speaker for lesser variants).
When it comes to safety, the Ytterby is equipped with anti-lock brakes, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control system, a tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, cruise control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a host of airbags.

Providing extra peace of mind while on the road is a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This gives the EV intelligent driver aids such as blind-spot detection, cross-traffic warning, lane departure warning, lane-cross warning, front collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic headlights. The ADAS features are only available for the Pro 505 version of the Ytterby.
“A good car is born on a great platform. JAC is proud to set a new benchmark with this vehicle. We’ve combined an intelligent cabin, a powerful 9-in-1 powertrain, and class-leading safety features to deliver a unique and delightful driving experience. And yet, this comes to the market providing spec-for-spec great value, always giving mind to what the customer deserves. It’s a statement of what’s possible when innovation meets responsibility,” said Tonette Lee, Brand Head of JAC Cars Philippines, Astara.
The JAC Ytterby Air 405 will retail for PHP 1.195 million while the range-topping Pro 505 will sell for PHP 1.320 million. Available colors for the EV are Beige, Blue, Gray, Purple, and White.
