GAC Motor PH officially reveals 2024 M6 Pro turbo MPV
After giving us a glimpse at their newest MPV just before the holidays last year, GAC Motor Philippines distributor Astara has officially launched the 2024 GAC M6 Pro. Essentially the facelifted version of the GAC GN6 MPV, the M6 Pro gets more than just an exterior & interior makeover for the 2024 model year.

Let’s begin with what’s under the hood. It gets a new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine derived from the Empow, GS3 Emzoom, and Emkoo. The result is that it makes 177 PS and a generous 270 Nm of torque - giving it more than enough power to ferry families along with their cargo. Power is then sent to a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch gearbox which replaces the outgoing 6-speed automatic.
Style-wise, the M6 Pro gets a sharper and more dynamic look than the GN6. It gets a bold new grille, a sleek pair of eye-catching LED daytime running lights, redesigned LED headlights (GL only as GS gets halogen), and slightly tweaked LED taillights. Last but definitely not least, the MPV comes with a nice set of 18-inch alloy wheels which are standard on the top-of-the-line GL. The base model GS, on the other hand, only gets 16-inch alloys.

In terms of size, the 7-seater MPV measures 4793mm long, 1837mm wide, and 1730mm tall. It also has a generous 2810mm wheelbase and a luggage capacity that ranges from 324 liters to 1,100 liters should both the second and third-row seats be folded. Speaking of 7 seats, the M6 Pro has a 2+2+3 seating layout. That’s right, this turbocharged (and stylish) MPV comes with captain seats just like its bigger sibling, the M8.

Pop the doors open and the M6 Pro welcomes you into a sleek and loaded cabin. In front of the driver is a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that’s complemented by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment. The latter supports Apple CarPlay & Bluetooth and is paired to either a 4-speaker or 8-speaker sound system, depending on the variant chosen. The GS comes with fabric seats while the range-topping GL gets leather seats all around. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard equipment across the range.
Other available features present in the 2024 M6 Pro include a panoramic sunroof, a leather steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED ambient lighting, power-folding side mirrors, heated front seats, a stow-and-go style third-row seats, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

“GAC Motor Philippines is in pursuit of providing a wide range of vehicles that cater to the dynamic lifestyles of Filipino families and communities. We are excited for the M6 Pro to be experienced and enjoyed by customers throughout the country. This is a great new family MPV that embodies the meticulous craftsmanship, engineering excellence, cutting-edge technology, and high-quality promise that GAC Motor is known for,” said Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of GAC Motor, Astara Philippines.

All models of the M6 Pro come with the following safety features; dual front airbags, hill-hold control, hill-descent control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, electronic stability program, a tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, and cruise control.

It’s also available with a suite of intelligent driver aids but they are only offered in the GL variant. These include; adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, autonomous emergency braking with forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, high-beam assist, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition.
