MMDA and GET Philippines launches free Electric Love Bus rides for commuters
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that it has successfully sealed a partnership agreement with Global Electric Transport Philippines (GET Philippines) for the Electric Love Bus Program, which will provide free rides to commuters.
The signing of the memorandum of agreement at the MMDA Head Office in Pasig City was led by MMDA Chairman, Atty. Don Artes, and GET Philippines President, Sigfrido Tinga, formalized the collaboration between the two parties.

“Through this partnership, we are introducing fully electric buses that are cleaner, quieter, and more modern. These buses will help reduce pollution, ease congestion along key routes, and provide a more comfortable riding experience for passengers,” said Artes.
Under the agreement, the MMDA will handle route management, enforcement, and infrastructure support, while GET Philippines will operate and maintain the electric buses. With backing from corporate sponsors including Robinsons Land Corporation, Megaworld, Ortigas Land, and ISWIMS, the MMDA aims to sustain and expand its free public transport services.

The Electric Love Bus, slated for launch in late April or early May, has a 30-passenger capacity and will operate on routes approved by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). Eastbound stops include Robinsons Galleria, Estancia Mall, MMDA, Arcovia, Opus Mall, Arcovia Mall, and Eastwood City. Meanwhile, westbound stops cover Eastwood City, C5–Eastwood Footbridge, C5–Green Meadows Footbridge, C5–Green Meadows Gate, Tiendesitas, C5–Julia Vargas, MMDA, Estancia Mall, and Robinsons Galleria.
Artes also noted that ten Love Bus units will be deployed, each making an average of five to six trips daily. The service is planned to run from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, extending to 10:00 PM based on passenger demand, with future expansion expected to other local government units across Metro Manila.
