Foton at 18 years aims to redefine Philippine logistics with electrified solutions
In a significant move towards sustainable transport, Foton Motor Philippines officially launched its all-electric fleet of commercial vehicles at the "Foton EV Forward: The Future of Logistics is Now" event. The showcase, held at their manufacturing facility in Clark, Pampanga, marks a crucial step in the country's transition to a greener and more efficient logistics sector.
Foton's new lineup of fully-electric commercial trucks and vans aims to address the growing demand for sustainable business solutions in the Philippines. With a focus on last-mile delivery, urban logistics, and transport solutions, these vehicles offer businesses a way to reduce their carbon footprint while lowering operational costs through savings on fuel and maintenance.

A New Era for Filipino Businesses
The event was more than just a product launch; it was a strong statement from Foton about its commitment to the future of the automotive industry. Key models on display included the EST 6x4 Tractor Head EV, a heavy duty truck with a 200 kilometer driving range, Tornado 3.6 EV, a light-duty truck designed for heavy-duty city operations, Foton Transvan HR Cargo EV, built for nimble and efficient urban deliveries, Harabas TM300 EV light commercial vehicle also for urban deliveries to small communities with tight roads, and Traveller Sierra EV passenger van for business shuttle and transport solutions.
Foton highlighted the strategic advantages of these vehicles, emphasizing their zero-emission performance, quiet operation, and smart features.
Foton Motor Philippines further announced that a full-electric commuter transport solution will soon be offered in the form of the Foton Bus EV. This 33-passenger mini bus features a 200.54 kWh battery with an maximum output of 248 hp, 2100 Nm of torque, and a maximum range of 350 kilometers.

"We believe that electric vehicles are not just a trend, but the inevitable evolution of the logistics industry. The Foton EV Forward initiative is about empowering our partners to lead the change and build a more sustainable future for their businesses and the country," said Mr. Levy Santos, General Manager, Foton Motor Philippines.
Addressing the EV Infrastructure Challenge
A central theme of the launch was Foton's plan to support its new electric fleet. The company announced partnerships with key players in the local energy and infrastructure sectors to ensure that businesses have access to charging solutions and reliable after-sales support. This proactive approach directly addresses one of the biggest challenges facing EV adoption in the Philippines—the lack of charging infrastructure.

The Foton EV Forward event was attended by logistics and transport players, dealer partners, industry leaders, and government officials, all of whom shared a common interest in the future of sustainable transportation. The event also featured a series of talks on the benefits of electrifying commercial fleets, including government incentives and long-term economic advantages.

With the launch of its new electric lineup, Foton is not only introducing new vehicles but is also paving the way for a more responsible and efficient way of doing business in the Philippines. The event underscored the idea that the future of mobility is not a distant concept, but a reality that is ready to be embraced today.
