1NZ Unity Cup Leg 2 will be held at CIS

Tuason Racing Sports Unlimited, an industry leader in Philippine motorsports, is thrilled to announce the second legs of the 1NZ Unity Cup and the Formula V1 Series. These events promise to bring high-octane excitement for spectators and participants and showcase the best in Philippine racing talent.

With the continued format of racing under the same banner of the 1NZ engine, the upcoming races will showcase a large grid with a variety of cars. The series has the Toyota Vios cars, veterans of battles in the one-make Vios Cup, and the popular road cars Toyota Vitz, Echo, and Yaris, which now get their chance to duke it out on the track.

Running alongside the 1NZ is the flagship racecar of Tuason Racing, the Formula V1 an import straight from Japan courtesy of the historical West Racing team who have long dominated in the highly competitive Japanese national racing scene. Bringing this purely specialized racing car has been a privilege for Philippine motorsports as the engineering of the car allows for both the thrill of open-wheel racing, affordability, and true power behind the wheel.

We can also anticipate great excitement this weekend as race winner Jesse Garcia, who, in the last race, had a fierce battle with rivals Danzel Waytan and Will Lucas, both of whom are decorated go-karting alumni. There will also be special guest drivers in Shunji Okumoto and Masahiro Aoai of Japan. All in all, an exciting weekend ahead for the 32-strong drivers grid.

"The most exciting thing this round is being able to bring an experienced Japanese F4 racer on our grid. I think this will definitely fuel the competitiveness in our racers, so I’m looking forward to it," said Aileen Santos, Vice President for Operations of Tuason Racing.

The Tuason Racing Formula V1 and 1NZ Unity Cup Leg 2 will be held at Clark International Speedway this July 20, Saturday.
