Here are the winners of 2022 TGR Vios Cup Leg 1

Leg 1 podium performers for Circuit, Autocross and GR GT Cup

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) kicked off the 2022 season of the Gazoo Racing Vios Cup last weekend. Unlike the previous season, spectators have been welcomed back to the grounds of the Clark International Speedway to have fun and take part in the race weekend's proceedings.

In addition, Leg 1 of the Vios Cup also saw PlayStation gamers go from virtual to actual as the National Finals of the GR GT Cup was held along with the usual Circuit Championship and the Autocross Challenge. In the GR GT Cup Promotional Class, Christopher Tejada took the championship with Matthew Ang and Chino Ascense rounding up the runner-up places, respectively.

Meanwhile, last year's Vios Cup Super Sporting class champion Estefano Rivera took the GR GT Cup Sporting Class title after an intense final lap duel with eventual runner-up Russel Reyes, while last year's GR GT Cup Promotional Class champion Jether Miole finished 3rd.

The top three drivers, along with 4th placed Mark Voltaire Elman and last year's GR GT Cup Sporting Class champion Luis Moreno were invited to participate in the Vios Cup Autocross Challenge to prove their talent. This time, with real race cars. Russel Reyes took top honors for the GR GT Cup Class, with Moreno taking 2nd place and Elman finishing 3rd.

For this year, the Media and Celebrity participants of the Vios Cup Autocross Challenge were divided into two classes – Promotional and Sporting. For the Promotional Class Media division, Pablo Salapantan finished in 1st place, with Siegwald Go in 2nd and Mica de los Reyes in 3rd. Meanwhile, AutoIndustriya.com's Jamil Lacuna emerged as the champion for Leg 1 of the Sporting Class Media division, besting 2nd place Roy Robles and 3rd place Kevin Francisco.

On the other hand, the Promotional Class Celebrity division saw a podium consisting of Benedict Cua, Carla Lizardo, and Miguel Romulo who finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively. The Sporting Class Celebrity division was won by Gino Quillamor, with Jules Aquino and Lexi Mendiola finishing 2nd and 3rd.

Now for the main event of the 2022 TGR Vios Cup which is the Circuit Championship, Julia Delos Angeles of Obengers Racing Team took her first win on Race 1 of the Promotional Class, with Ian Rosales and Alain Alzona taking their respective victories on Race 2 and Race 3.

For the Sporting Class, Joaquin Garrido won Races 1 and 2 with celebrity driver Troy Montero taking victory in Race 3. Lastly, in the Super Sporting Class, it was John Dizon who claimed 1st place in Race 1 and the epic Race 3, while Gerard Loy won Race 2.
