Cadillac will be F1’s 11th team in 2026
From 10 teams, the Formula One championship will welcome Cadillac as its 11th team for the 2026 season. And to highlight its arrival at the pinnacle of motorsport, Cadillac has also chosen one of America’s biggest sporting events to reveal how its F1 cars will look like.
Cadillac will have its livery reveal during a Super Bowl advert on February 8, just a month before it makes its race debut at the season-opening 2026 Australian Grand Prix.
The team’s appearance on a Super Bowl advert is an opportunity to be seen by a huge US audience, as the 2025 edition was watched by over 127 million viewers – the largest audience in American TV history for a single telecast. Even Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance last year set a record for the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show with an average of 133.5 million viewers.
As for the livery, we can expect the colors of Jim Beam and Tommy Hilfiger, which are Cadillac’s official spirits and apparel partners, respectively. We can also expect those branding to be present on the overalls of Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, who are Cadillac’s official race drivers for the 2026 season.
It’s not the first time that a Formula One advert was televised during Super Bowl, as the teaser for Brad Pitt’s F1 movie premiered during the 2025 pre-game show.
But before they reveal their livery, Cadillac will be at the first pre-season test in Barcelona, which will happen from January 26-30, 2026. Two more tests will take place in Bahrain before teams fly out to Melbourne for the season opener.
