Audi vs. Lancia in the Group B era
Racing movies inspired by true events often spring up movies that are a joy to watch. Think of Niki Lauda and James Hunt's rivalry in Rush, or Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari's storied feud in Ford vs. Ferrari. It all makes for a great time inside the movie theater, especially when there's rivalry involved.
Speaking of which, there's another one to look forward to next year.
Lionsgate has released the first official trailer of Race For Glory: Audi vs. Lancia. And yes, as the name suggests, it's an upcoming film based on the rivalry between the two car brands in the Group B era of the World Rally Championship.
Race For Glory: Audi vs. Lancia is directed by Stefano Mordini, and stars Riccardo Scamarcio as Lancia's Team Principal Cesare Fiorio. The film also features Volker Bruch as Walter Röhrl, the legendary German rally driver who won the 1980 and 1982 WRC driver's titles.

Those who have watched the movie Rush will be glad to see Daniel Brühl back on the screen. This time, he's not portraying Niki Lauda, but he will be starring as Roland Gumpert – the German engineer who brought Audi multiple championships, and the founder of Apollo Automobil.
Set in the fast and dangerous era of Group B rallying, the Race For Glory: Audi vs. Lancia movie depicts the odds that Lancia overcame to capture the 1983 WRC title against Audi and its all-conquering rally car, the Quattro.
Race For Glory: Audi vs. Lancia will be on worldwide theaters, on-demand, and digital on January 5, 2024.
