No more pink accents for the 2022 Aston Martin F1 car
After HAAS and Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin is the latest team to introduce their 2022 Formula 1 car. Meet the Aston Martin AMR22.

Unlike the HAAS or Red Bull cars, the AMR22 features an updated livery, which looks very different from their 2021 car. Gone are the pink elements from former sponsor BWT. Instead, these are replaced by AMR’s signature neon yellow accents. It’s still painted British Racing Green, but it appears to be a shade lighter than last year’s vehicle. For 2022, the team also has a new title sponsor – Aramco. As a result, the new official team name is Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team.

Compared to the RB18 and the VF22, the AMR22 looks very different. It isn’t just a copy of the 2022 F1 concept car with the new livery fitted on. In addition, Aston Martin’s challenger also has new vents along the body that stretches from the driver’s cockpit to the engine cover. This new aero bit gives the car a shark-like design and makes it look very aggressive. However, the vented body could still change as teams still have a few weeks before pre-season testing begins.
The Aston Martin AMR22 will be driven by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll. The team is optimistic for the 2022 season following their performance last season, finishing 7th in the World Constructor’s title and scoring only one podium finish.

As other teams have yet to reveal their cars, it’s hard to speculate how Aston Martin will perform against its competitors. With an F1 car this good-looking, we hope the team manages to score more points and finish higher in the standings this season.
