Crazy Racing Vehicle?
Yes you're seeing something insane. Like straight out of Gran Turismo, Honda has transformed the Comfortable Runabout Vehicle into a Crazy Racing Vehicle.

Honda Performance Development (HPD), the brand's high-performance racing division in America has conceived the CR-V hybrid racer project car – an electrified track monster that develops 800 horsepower.

They gave a preview video giving a glimpse of the track car's details – including its carbon-fiber bodywork, its F1-style steering wheel, and the valve cover of what looks to be an electrified V6 engine developed by HPD.
For now, HPD is keeping information under wraps as to where the CR-V hybrid racer will compete. But upon looking at its massive rear wing and its aggressive aerodynamic elements, we won't be surprised if Honda enters this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the CR-V, much like what Suzuki did with the Escudo decades ago.

Then again, we only have a few days left until February 28 – the date when Honda reveals more details about the CR-V hybrid racer.
