An experience of Formula One for the Filipino people

The Manila Speedshow plans to ignite the Filipino passion for motorsports as it opens a weekend long display of speed and excitement.  For the first time ever, Filipinos will experience of seeing a real Formula One car drive on Philippine soil driven by a Filipino-Swiss driver Marlon Stockinger.

Starting with an actual Formula One car demo where Stockinger will drive a Lotus F1 car at the Quirino Grandstand and Mall of Asia. The F1 drive will be supported by adrenaline pumping demo runs by KTM-Ducati Motorcycle Stunt Team; drift demos by Motul/Autoplus, Team Yellow Cab, and Autocraft; Philippine GT racing cars parade; Manila Sports Car Club parade; and a Karting Champions parade.

Racing fans will also be able to experience the motorsport life for a day at the F1 Village at the Mall of Asia Atrium with a ‘Pit Stop Competition’, and a virtual drive of an F1 car in one of the four Lotus-Renault F1 simulators. A ‘Beat Marlon Stockinger’s time’ challenge allows participants to virtually race against Stockinger and get a chance to win a special prize. Lotus F1 merchandise, motorsport products and automotive gear will also be available for purchase. 

We have provided a more detailed schedule below as a walkthrough for the one-of-a-kind experience. The experience is free and some attractions are on a first come, first served basis. Just some words of advice: Go early; be prepared to walk; bring sunblock; bring a few bottles of water; and don’t forget your pen for a possible autograph by any of your favorite race drivers.
