The JAC T9 pickup is powered by a 2.0L turbo-diesel inline-four that makes 170 PS at 3500 rpm and 410 Nm of torque at 1500 – 2500 rpm. Power is then sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, as the T9 is strictly a 4x2 pickup. Drivers can choose from various drive modes, which include Standard, Economy, Sport, and Snow.  Unlike most pickup trucks, which have a leaf spring rear suspension, the JAC T9 gets a multi-link rear suspension.
