Subic Bay Auto Show welcomes new partners to annual event
The scorching summer sun welcomed more than 150 cars and over 3500 auto fans to the Harbor Point Mall for the 2015 Subic Bay Auto Show last April 11. Cars and enthusiasts from all over Olongapo, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Manila flocked to enjoy the event's tradition of Hot Cars, Hot Babes, and Good Music.
This year's lineup consists of 90s Japanese sedans like Toyota Corollas from Club AE and Honda Civics of OtoGapo to modern examples as well.
These Japanese coupes stood out as being well-executed rare examples. The Nissan Silvia S12 and Infiniti M30 were not locally released, but were still respectable cars during their time.
The car club that once again stood out among the rest was the Altis Club, which came 35 cars strong with an inflatable arch to boot.
Some cars took more effort with the customization by installing lighting mods, mobile entertainment systems, and even fog machines, which is probably not the best idea.
Besides showcasing highly-tuned and customized rides, running alongside the show was the Kicker sound-off competition where they vie for the loudest sound system of them all, and the 'Stop The Hate 4 Tattoo Competition. The tattoo convention itself caters to tattoo enthusiasts and top-notch artists that promote freedom of expression and good vibes via their works of art on skin.
For its 6th year, Bigboi Productions expanded this year's event to also include the Miss Subic Bay Auto Show competition, where 10 aspiring car show models from Olongapo and Subic faced off for the coveted title of being crowned the 1st Miss Subic Bay Auto Show winner and these three bested them all.
The Subic Bay Auto Show remains the premier summer auto fest for Central Luzon and will likely be for years to come.
