Art and the Automobile
The 2003 Trans Sport Show themed 'Art and the Automobile' showcased different automotive works of art which were highlighted by 100 years of Ford and 50 years of the Corvette. This theme was further exemplified by the Best in Show winner, a 1967 Toyota Corona owned by Jonathan Tinsay restored by Xtreme Auto Center for 2 years.

This year's show featured the Mercedes Benz Club of the Philippines which displayed five of their best member vehicles. Seminars on Auto Detailing and Restoration, Motorsports, and Garage Talks were part of the learning experiences at the show conducted by industry experts.
Making the biggest presence at the show was Mancor Industries which showcased their latest product, the Beissbarth Motor Vehicle Test Line fully integrated with modern state-of-the-art features. Mancor also took home the Best Corporate Pavillion award, Mitsubishi Motors gave the public a surprise with the Philippine debut of its latest vehicle in the Evolution line - the Lancer Evolution VIII.

The crowd drawer of the show was the fully JL Audio-equipped Honda Civic of A+ Audio which literally rocked the house as it pounded those bass frequencies. It also serenaded the halls with the sweet voices of Diana Krall, Jacintha, and the likes. It sounded so good that it garnered the Best Audio Set-up award.

The exhibit halls were lined with various modified, restored, cars which came in different shades of paint. Equally impressive in the aspects of looks were the many cars in the show composed of Japanese, American and European cars - vintage, classic, contemporary, and sports.

Excelling in all aspects of wildness was the entry of A-toy Bodykits with a fully customized body kit in hot orange pearl. It was awarded Best Body Kit, Best Japanese Modified II, and Reserve Best in Show. Other impressive entries in the show include the Honda Civic SiR entry of Allen Isidro Autobody which garnered Best Pro Modified and Best in Paint, and Mini Med's modified Mini.

Shops that participated in the show include DC Autosport, Route 66, Options Unlimited, JCB, Autoline, Gaspeed, Auto Salon, Auto Body Works by John Escobar, Paint Tricks, and Auto Exclusive to name a few.

Each car went through a meticulous inspection by the most qualified judges to determine the best cars of the show. Every detail was subject to inspection by the likes of Pete Morato, Sophie Delos Santos, Serge Naguiat, George Sy, Mike Potenciano, Michael Aguilar, and O.D. Hasegawa. At the end of it all smiles on the faces of the winners as they receive their trophies for a job well done.
