We wish Honda Cars PH makes the Phoenix Orange Pearl hue available for City Hatch
Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) officially launched the refreshed City Hatchback around last year. The stylish yet practical hatchback continues to be updated for customers who want a five-door version of the City. It features a slightly tweaked exterior and a more feature-packed interior. It's now equipped with Honda Sensing as standard as well for extra peace of mind.
When it was revealed last year, HCPI introduced a new color called Sonic Gray Pearl which gives the five-door a sleeker appearance. Not bad, but we feel that the refreshed City Hatchback could look better with a brighter hue.
Over in Indonesia, we noticed the top-of-the-line City Hatchback RS is available in a flashy color we wish the automaker would bring here. While they may not get the Sonic Gray Pearl finish, the Indonesian-spec (and Indonesian-built) City Hatchback RS is offered with the sporty Phoenix Orange Pearl.

Also available in the Brio RS which we get, the Orange Phoenix Pearl suits the City Hatchback RS as it gives the vehicle a more dynamic appearance. Combined with the gloss black grille, black side mirror caps, and blacked-out alloy wheels, the City Hatchback RS looks sleeker and sportier.
Aside from that, the City Hatchback RS for the Indonesian market is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. That's right, apart from having a CVT, customers who want to row their own can get the City Hatchback RS with a stick shift.
We can only wish Honda Cars PH eventually make the Phoenix Orange Pearl hue available for the City Hatchback RS. But since the automaker sources the hatchback from Thailand (which doesn't get the Phoenix Orange Pearl), the chances of it being available here are slim to none.
Perhaps the best alternative is to get the Phoenix Orange Pearl's paint code and have a paint shop make the color available to interested customers in the country.
