Volvo Philippines is out to impress the EV market after the Swedish automaker officially launched the EX30 electric crossover. Combining sleek looks, a high-tech and spacious cabin, along with a zero-emissions powertrain, the Volvo EX30 marks the brand’s new era in the Philippines.

Starting with its design, the EX30 features the brand’s signature Thor Hammer LED headlights and lighting signature. It also comes with C-shaped LED taillights in the back which further give the crossover a stylish appearance. Also worth mentioning are the massive 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/45 series tires, a panoramic sunroof, and a power tailgate.

Size-wise, the EX30 measures 4233mm long, 1838mm wide, 1550mm tall, and has a 2650mm wheelbase. It also has a ground clearance of 177mm and short front & rear overhangs.

Hop inside and the electric Volvo welcomes you into a stylish and high-tech cabin. Immediately grabbing your attention is the massive tablet-inspired touchscreen infotainment system. Not only does it come with mobile connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, but it also gets a 9-speaker Harman-Kardon sound system complete with a subwoofer.

The onboard system also comes with Google Services, a wireless charging pad, over-the-air updates, and the Volvo EX30 app which will allow users to control the media system via their phones.

Other available amenities inside the EX30 include a dual-zone climate control system with an air quality system, power-adjustable front seats with 4-way lumbar support, denim interior decor, a 360-degree camera system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, Textile & Nordico upholstery, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.

The Volvo EX30 is powered by a 69 kWh battery pack that drives a rear-mounted electric motor. It makes 272 PS and a healthy 343 Nm of torque. On a full charge, Volvo claims the EX30 can travel up to 475 km and can average up to 17.5 kWh per 100 km in mixed driving conditions. The EX30 can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 5.3 seconds.

When recharging the EX30, a standard 11 kW AC charging station can top up the battery from 10% to 80% in 8 hours. Alternatively, a 175 kW DC fast charger can recharge it from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes.

For extra peace of mind, the Volvo EX30 is equipped with intelligent driver aids to keep occupants safe and secure while on the road. It gets adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist (dubbed Pilot Assist), a collision avoidance system, a driver alert system to warn drowsy or distracted drivers, and Park Pilot Assist which can automatically park the vehicle.

Available colors for the EX30 include Cloud Blue, Crystal White, Moss Yellow, Onyx Black, and Vapor Gray. The EX30 is also covered by a 3-year/unlimited bumper-to-bumper warranty while the high-voltage battery comes with a warranty of 8 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first.
