VinFast PH officially launches VF 5 subcompact electric SUV
After officially making its presence felt in the country nearly two months ago, VinFast Philippines has officially launched one of its electric vehicles (EVs).
They already showcased the likes of the VF e34, VF 7, and VF 9 when they launched the brand back in May 2024. But VinFast Philippines will start its lineup with a subcompact crossover SUV in the form of the VF 5.

Measuring 3967mm long, 1723mm wide, and 1578mm tall, the VF 5 is smaller than most B-SUVs and could give the likes of the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet something to think about. It's powered by a single electric motor that produces 136 PS (or 100 kW) and 135 Nm of torque that drives the front wheels. Paired with a 37.23 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, VinFast claims the VF 5 has a range of up to 326 km on a full charge based on the NEDC standard. Recharging the battery from 10% to 70% can be done in just 33 minutes, depending on the charger type.
Style-wise, the VF 5 features a distinct and youthful design and is available in various exterior/interior color combinations. The front fascia features the brand's distinct V-shaped LED daytime running lights and distinct headlights. For peace of mind, the VF 5 comes with advanced technologies like; automatic vehicle fault diagnosis, intrusion monitoring and alert, remote software updates, cruise control, blind-spot warning, and more.
“We are delighted to officially enter the Philippines, one of Southeast Asia's most promising electric vehicle markets. By launching the VF 5 and introducing our unique battery subscription program to local consumers, we reaffirm our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable products with excellent after-sales services. We hope that VinFast electric cars will soon become the daily mode of transportation for everyone, contributing to the green transportation movement in the Philippines,” said Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, CEO of VinFast Philippines.

Those interested in purchasing the VF 5 can also opt for the battery subscription program which drops the EV's price to PHP 992,000. The battery subscription plan for the VF 5 offers monthly fees based on driving distance, with customers paying PHP 5,800 for a maximum of 1,500 km per month.
Customers in the country can now place a reservation for the VF 5 electric car with a deposit of 5,000 Pesos per vehicle at VinFast’s dealership showrooms (the reservation is refundable under VinFast's policy). In addition, customers will receive a direct discount of PHP 50,000 and freebies worth more than PHP 50,000 per vehicle. Last but not least, Customers will also receive support for payment of PHP 69,000 or PHP 99,000 per vehicle when completing the purchase through a bank loan or direct payment methods, applicable to purchases with and without battery subscriptions respectively.

From July 20, 2024, to August 5, 2024, VinFast PH is also offering an attractive promotion for customers reserving the VF 5 without a battery subscription. Specifically, customers stand a chance to win one of 100 discounts of PHP 95,000 per vehicle through a raffle-off program.
