Beginning June 29, two outer lanes along Mindanao Ave southbound will be closed to traffic
Heads up to motorists who frequently travel along the southbound lane of Mindanao Avenue. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) recently announced that motorists may experience a slowdown of traffic along the stretch of Mindanao Avenue between Congressional Avenue and Tandang Sora Avenue starting June 29, 2024.
This is due to the upcoming construction works of the Tandang Sora Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project. As a result, two outer lanes along Mindanao Avenue southbound will be closed to traffic which will cause the aforementioned traffic slowdowns.

With two lanes along the southbound direction set to be closed, the DOTr has advised motorists driving light vehicles to take the newly constructed diversion road to offset the closure of the outer lanes along the southbound direction of Mindanao Avenue.
Alternatively, the DOTr has also advised motorists to look for alternate routes in order to reduce traffic congestion as well as avoid delays in their travel. The agency has apologized for the inconvenience and thanks motorists for understanding.
With the two outer lanes of the said avenue set to be closed to vehicular traffic, motorists will either have to grin and bear it or look for detours to get to their destinations with no hassle.
