Toyota Philippines launches Certified Used Vehicle Program
According to Toyota, more and more people are looking for used cars these days. They're much lower-priced than brand-new units, so deals can always be found. But there's always an inherent risk when buying a second-hand car.
That is why Toyota Motor Philippines has launched its certified used car program to give any prospective buyer just that bit more peace of mind. Toyota's Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) Program ensures that and second-hand car sold by them has a clean bill of health before it's sold to the customer. So, how do they check the car?
Toyota vehicles up to five years old with under 60,000 kilometers are eligible for certification. But before it finds a new owner, each of these cars undergo a 211-point inspection. Suspension components are checked, along with the electronics, and other powertrain parts. If it passes, the car can be sold with certification. But if your Toyota vehicle is older than five years and has exceeded 60,000 kilometers, you may still trade it. Also, the Toyota model being traded-in must be sold through official channels.
