A90 Final Edition is limited to 300 units only
When one door closes, another one opens. That looks to be the case with Toyota these days. In the Philippines, the green light was just lit on the Hilux Tamaraw. But on a global scale, it’s time to say goodbye to one of Toyota’s reborn GR models.
The current-generation GR Supra’s production is coming to an end, but it’s going on a loud exit. Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced the special edition GR Supra “Final Edition” and the partially upgraded model, saving the best for last in terms of aerodynamics, handling, and the performance of its 3.0-liter inline-six turbo.

Speaking of the latter, the GR Supra Final Edition is exclusively available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 3.0-liter engine has its power output boosted from 387 PS to 435 PS, while torque has also been increased from 500 Nm to 570 Nm. TGR revised the intake and exhaust systems of the Final Edition version, fitting it with an Akrapovic titanium muffler for a louder engine sound.

Other powertrain enhancements include a baffle plate on the oil pan that ensures consistent oil pressures even in high-G cornering applications. TGR has also increased the cooling performance of the GR Supra with a sub-radiator for the engine and larger cooling fins on the diff cover for better durability at extended track times.
The GR Supra Final Edition also receives handling enhancements, beginning with a set of adjustable coilovers from KW. The set is similar to the GT4 model and features multiple levels of rebound and compression settings. The suspension is beefed up with strengthened rubber bushings, additional chassis bracing both front and rear, as well as a revised electric power steering unit to deliver better feedback.
Those are intended to maximize the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2’s grip wrapped on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels. Take a peek beyond the wheels and TGR has equipped the GR Supra Final Edition with Brembo brake pads that offer better bite force on the drilled floating discs. For consistent braking power, the brake lines have been reinforced with stainless steel braiding.

Inside, more track-focused goodies are found on the GR Supra Final Edition. Those include Recaro Podium CF bucket seats with Alcantara seat pads, more Alcantara trim on the steering wheel, center console, shift knob boot, as well as red seat belts and carbon fiber scuff plates for good measure.

Toyota will only be making 300 units of the GR Supra Final Edition but said that the partially upgraded model is slated to be released in global markets. For now, Europe could get first dibs by spring 2025, while Japan and other markets should follow.

While it’s the end of the line for the A90 Supra, there’s hope that an all-new version could be coming based on Toyota’s easter egg on its GRIP anime series.
