Go camping and hit the trails with the Lexus GXOR concept
Let's face it, we rarely (or have yet to) see a Lexus being driven off-road. Sure the GX and LX can easily take on whatever Mother Nature throws at them, but most folks that own either of the two only drive them on-road (and maybe the occasional puddle).

To prove that their luxury SUVs can take on the rough stuff, Lexus unveiled a special edition concept called the GX Off-Road (GXOR). Equipped to the hilt with almost every known off-road upgrade, this particular GX is now suited and booted for the great outdoors.
Taking inspiration from owners and enthusiasts that take their Lexus camping and going off the beaten path, the GXOR comes with a plethora of upgrades. For starters it gets a custom front bumper with a power winch, General Grabber X3 tires that measure 275/70/R18, full underbody protection, as well as an upgraded suspension system.

Should it have to cross rivers or take on floods, the GXOR is equipped with a snorkel so it can keep on going even when the water is high. Mud got stuck you in place? Maxtrax recovery boards are on standby on the roof in case you'll need them to get yourself out of sticky situations.
Need to have your gadgets charged or your equipment running without having to resort to engine power alone? The GXOR comes with a 160W solar panel that serves as an auxiliary power source. And in case you need to reach out to anyone without cellular coverage, a ham radio is also standard equipment on the GXOR concept. A roof-mounted LED light bar has been fitted as well to illuminate the path during nighttime.

For those that want to have everything available at their disposal, a Patriot Campers X1H trailer can carry all your goods in one go. And if that's not enough, aluminum box cases are also placed on top of the GXOR for good measure.

Thinking of getting one in the future? Lexus is not saying anything yet with regards to a production model. But should Lexus plan on making several examples of the GXOR, we wouldn't mind taking it glamping or conquering the great outdoors.
