Metal Gear Solid-inspired Outlander PHEV Night Seeker Concept looks badass
Fans of the Metal Gear Solid video game franchise are in for a treat if they attend this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon. Mitsubishi will be presenting a variety of vehicles, including customized builds.
One of those is the Outlander PHEV Night Seeker Concept, which features an exterior design inspired by Metal Gear Solid. Based on the recently updated plug-in hybrid crossover, the Night Seeker Concept features a custom body kit, blacked-out alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, flared wheel arches, and a custom roof rack that could practically carry any type of equipment.

Also worth mentioning is the unique-looking transparent visor at the front. We’re not entirely sure why it’s there but it is perhaps designed to protect the front end from debris or from projectiles. It also has a metal skid plate at the front that comes with dual recovery points. Topping everything off are the dark livery and the Metal Gear Solid graphics which remind everyone this is no ordinary plug-in hybrid crossover.
Overall, the Outlander PHEV Night Seeker Concept would look straight out of the digital world of Metal Gear Solid. But if you think that’s the only vehicle that gets a military-inspired look, Mitsubishi also has the Delica D:5 Black Edition Active Seeker.

This one also features a Metal Gear Solid-like appearance albeit more subtle. It gets a matte gunmetal finish with a low saturation green color which gives it a sleek look. It also has body graphics that resemble the topography of Tokachi, Hokkaido where Mitsubishi’s proving ground is located.
Last but not least, the Delica D:5 Black Edition Active Seeker is equipped with a metal bull bar, metal side steps, black alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, and a roof tent which is perfect for camping in the great outdoors.

Which of the two Seeker builds by Mitsubishi looks more badass? The Delica D:5 or the Outlander PHEV? Let us know in the comments.
