Mitsubishi to hold Delica Festival at 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon
We're just one day away from the opening of the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon at Makuhari Messe. While the annual auto show mostly caters to aftermarket tuning shops, several automakers also attend the event and showcase their own unique builds and concepts.
Mitsubishi is no stranger to the Tokyo Auto Salon, as they have attended previous iterations of the show. For this year's Tokyo Auto Salon, Mitsubishi will be holding the Delica Festiva, and they will be bringing a wide array of customized Delica D:5s and Delica Minis.

Let's start with the Delica D:5 range, particularly the Ultimate Gear. Mitsubishi claims the Delica D:5 Ultimate Gear refines the toughness and capability of the MPV thanks to a 30mm lift kit and bumper guards that protect the body from impacts when driving on rough roads. The vehicle is also painted in a unique Raptor paint, which is scratch-resistant and suited for driving in off-road environments. Other key features present include new alloy wheels, side steps, auxiliary lights, and a roof basket.

Next is the Delica D:5 Active Camper, which was made possible in collaboration with campervan manufacturer Direct Cars and outdoor brand LOGOS. This custom MPV emphasizes its 4WD performance and comes with a suspension lift kit, a steel bumper guard, off-road tires, a roof awning, and a roof rack to carry additional cargo. It also has a brown interior for a more comfortable ambiance while inside the MPV.

Last but not least is the Delica D:5 Adventure Style. It's equipped with genuine Mitsubishi accessories like large mud flaps with hanging belts inspired by rally cars, a rugged stainless steel rear undercover, and a newly designed flat carrier. All of these translate to maximizing the toughness and capability of the Delica D:5.
If you find yourself in Japan this week, you can check out the Mitsubishi booth and the other unique builds at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon at the Makuhari Messe from January 9 – 11.
