Tesla PH launches in the country with Model 3 and Model Y
After its first dealership was spotted being set up a few months ago, Tesla Philippines has officially started operations in the country. During a launch event held at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig, the EV brand officially made its presence felt to the public.
Across Uptown Mall at Uptown Parade will be the brand's Tesla Experience Center which will showcase the initial offerings and will showcase Tesla's seamless, one-stop solution for every step of ownership. From sales and delivery to service, customers will be able to access everything they need in one location.

For now, Tesla Philippines will offer two EVs; the Model 3 and the Model Y. Starting with the Model 3, it serves as Tesla's entry-level EV sedan that offers an aerodynamic design, a fully loaded cabin, and a range of up to 629 km on a single charge. A total of three variants of the Model 3 will be offered by Tesla Philippines; Rear-wheel Drive, Long Range, and Performance.

The Rear-wheel Drive offers up to 513 km of range, can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, and can reach a 201 km/h top speed. Meanwhile, the Long Range can travel up to 629 km, can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and has a similar 201 km/h top speed. Last but not least is the Performance which can travel up to 528 km, catapult from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and reach a top speed of 262 km/h.
Pricing for the Tesla Model 3 is as follows
Rear-wheel Drive – PHP 2.109 million
Long Range – PHP 2.489 million
Performance – PHP 3.099 million
Next is the Tesla Model Y which is the brand's crossover EV that slots below the much bigger Model X. Recently crowned the world's best-selling vehicle in 2023, the Model Y combines impressive range, electric performance, and high-tech features in a practical package. It also offers up to 2.1 cubic meters of cargo space, versatile seating and storage for up to 5 passengers, and ultra-responsive motors.

Like the Model 3, the Model Y will be available in three distinct models; Rear-wheel Drive, Long Range, and Performance. The Rear-wheel Drive version offers up to 455 km of range, can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 217 km/h. Next is the Long Range which has up to 533 km of range, can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 5 seconds flat, and also has a 217 km/h top speed.

The most powerful version of the Model Y is the Performance which can easily hit 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds from a standstill, travel up to 514 km on a single charge, and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.

Pricing for the Tesla Model Y is as follows:
Rear-wheel Drive – PHP 2.369 million
Long Range – PHP 2.689 million
Performance – PHP 3.299 million
Also set to be launched in the country is the Tesla Design Studio. Here, customers in the country will be able to customize their Model 3 and Model Y according to their preferences. These include the vehicle's exterior, interior, and even its features. Vehicles will be produced based on their requirements.

As for recharging, Tesla Philippines will have its first indoor Supercharger station in the country. It will feature four Superchargers at Uptown Mall which will soon be opened to the public. With Tesla's Supercharging system, cars like the Model Y can have up to 120 km of range in just 5 minutes.

In the future, the company plans to open multiple Supercharging stations in the country at strategic locations to cover more popular destinations across the Philippines. Supercharging will be available on a pay-per-use basis and will allow owners to experience exceptional charging at PHP 19 per kWh which translates to around PHP 1,140 for a full charge.
First customer deliveries of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in the Philippines will begin in early 2025.
