The Suzuki Fronx has made its regional debut in Indonesia
Earlier this year, Suzuki Thailand confirmed two new models that will arrive in Southeast Asia. While the brand did not go into exact detail, our friends over at headlightmag did confirm that one of them will be the Suzuki Fronx.
First launched in India, the Fronx is Suzuki's take on making a contender against the likes of the Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet, and Nissan Magnite. Despite its small size, the overall look and design of the Suzuki Fronx lend it to look bigger than it is, and it is available with plenty of amenities.

Now, the Suzuki Fronx has arrived in Southeast Asia and made its regional debut in Indonesia. Unlike the Indian-spec Fronx that gets a 1.0L turbo or a 1.2L naturally-aspirated three-cylinder, the one revealed for the Indonesian market gets a bigger engine. Depending on the variant, the 2025 Fronx is equipped with either a 1.5L K15B or a 1.5L K15C four-cylinder engine that benefits from the brand's mild-hybrid technology called Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS).
The regular 1.5L K15B inline-four makes 105 PS with 138 Nm of torque and can be mated to either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5L K15C with SHVS puts out 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque. Despite the slight dip in power, the K15C benefits from an integrated starter generator (ISG) that recoups energy and uses it to provide faster acceleration when overtaking, as well as Engine Auto Stop to save on fuel while idling. In addition, the K15C models can be paired with either a six-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission.

Design-wise, the Suzuki Fronx for Indonesia looks the same as the one that was launched in India. It gets a distinct front fascia that consists of a large dual-port grille and a double-stack LED & headlight design. It also comes with squared wheel arches with black body cladding that give it a more rugged appearance, stylish 16-inch alloy wheels, sleek LED taillights, and front & rear faux skid plates.
In terms of size, the Fronx measures 3995mm long, 1765mm wide, and 1550mm tall that sits on a 2520mm wheelbase. This makes the Suzuki Fronx an A-segment crossover SUV, which puts it right in the segment that's occupied by the aforementioned Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet, and Nissan Magnite.

When it comes to interior amenities, the Suzuki Fronx in Indonesia is available with plenty of in-car features. These include a 9-inch touchscreen media display with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, paddle shifters (1.5L K15C only), automatic climate control with rear A/C vents, cruise control, and rear charging ports as such. For extra peace of mind, it will also be offered with ADAS features for a safer driving experience.

With the Suzuki Fronx now in Southeast Asia and built at the company's Suzuki Indomobil Motor plant in Cikarang, Indonesia, we're hoping Suzuki Philippines Inc. brings the Fronx here. With the Celerio no longer being offered by the automaker, perhaps the Fronx can fill that gap and slot above the S-Presso. We'll be keeping a close eye on possible developments with regards to the Fronx making its way to the Philippine market.
