Suzuki PH kits out 2019 Ertiga, could face off Mobilio RS and Avanza Veloz

Looking to suit up your very own Ertiga soon? Suzuki Philippines (SPH) appears to be planning just that after the automaker showed a kitted-up version of the MPV at the recent 2019 Manila International Auto Show.

Taking inspiration from the Sport Version offered in Indonesia, the humble Ertiga gets a plethora of exterior upgrades, as well as a different color scheme for the interior.

Starting with the most obvious changes, the Ertiga gets a a blacked-out mesh type upper and lower front grill, along with a new chin spoiler for the front bumper. The headlights, on the other hand, gain black highlights which give the MPV a more sophisticated look. Over to the rear, the MPV now comes with a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, and a scuff plate for protecting the bumper from loading / unloading of cargo. Finally, the Ertiga is also fitted with side skirts.

Inside, everything pretty much remains the same inside the all-new Ertiga. However, the beige color scheme has been replaced by an all-black interior derived from the Black Edition special. With it, the seats, door panels, dashboard, center console, as well as the leather-wrapped steering wheel are now finished in black.

Under the hood, power still comes from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15B. It puts out 103 PS and 138 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic.

SPH has yet to state as to when will they offer the exterior add-ons for the local market. They did say, however, that these upgrades could become available as dealer options / accessories in the near future.
