Special edition Nissan X-Trail looks cool in blue and black

Nissan just gave the X-Trail an exterior and interior upgrade for new Leather Edition

The all-new Nissan X-Trail may have already been launched in the U.S. as the Rogue, but it has yet to make its way to other markets like the Asia-Pacific. In fact, Nissan is still offering the third-generation model globally including in the Philippines.

Since it may take a while before the all-new generation arrives in the region, Nissan decided to release a special edition called the Leather Edition. Despite its unique name, the Leather Edition actually looks more like a special Black Edition with its neat touches of black accents on the exterior and interior.

Starting with the outside, the front grille, front and rear bumpers, side door moldings, and tailgate trim all come with a dark chrome finish. Even the specially-designed aluminum-alloy wheel has been painted in a dark color to complement the crossover's more sinister-looking appearance.

As for the X-Trail's cabin, the seats and the gear selector are covered in either or black or tan leather to give it a more sophisticated look. Both the driver and front passenger seats are power-adjustable too for added luxury and comfort.

But what could be perhaps the most important upgrade on this particular X-Trail is the passenger slide-up seat. This special feature will allow persons with disabilities, get in and out of the car more easily. It works via a remote control which allows users to rotate and lift the seat, as well as slide and recline it for ease of use.

Aside from the standard Leather Edition, Nissan also revealed the X-Trail Autech and X-Trail X edition variants. Starting with the former, the Autech special comes with unique dampers from Sachs, along with bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels. It also has blue accents, blue contrast stitching, and the Autech logo stitched in blue on the black leather seats for added appeal.

The X-Trail X, on the other hand, equips the crossover with chassis upgrades that guard the underbody of the vehicle. Moreover, the X-Trail X comes with specially-designed aluminum wheels, jet-black front grille, and blacked-out door handles for a sportier finish.

With Japan set to get their hands on the X-Trail Leather Edition come November 5, could it also make its way to the Philippines? After all, we do get our X-Trail models from Japan. Maybe Nissan Philippines can offer in limited numbers and call it the 'Black Edition' since it has blacked-out elements present.
