Lexus gives the RC Line its swan song with RC F Final Edition

Like most things in life, not everything lasts forever. Unfortunately for Lexus enthusiasts who are fans of the RC (and RC F), the sports coupe is not long for this world.

You read right, after a decade of being on the road and selling a combined 90,000 units across 62 countries, the RC and RC F are bowing out by the end of the 2025 model year. But do not think that the sports coupe will be going out quietly into the night. To celebrate the RC and RC F's final run, Lexus will be rolling out an updated version of the RC along with the RC F Final Edition.

Starting with the regular RC F Final Edition, the most powerful version of the sports coupe comes with 19-inch BBS alloy wheels finished in Metal Star Gloss Black and are complemented by red Brembo brake calipers. It will be equipped with generous amounts of carbon fiber components which can be seen on the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, active rear spoiler, and roof. All of these give the RC F Final Edition a GT3-inspired makeover that gives it a more aggressive look.

A total of four exterior colors will be offered on the 2025 RC F Final Edition – Incognito, Radiant Red, Sonic Iridium, and Ultra White. Under the hood, the RC F Final Edition comes with the venerable 5.0L naturally-aspirated 2UR-GSE V8 that has been further refined to deliver utmost performance while also providing a smoother revving feel. It delivers 472 PS with 572 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic gearbox complete with paddle shifters. From a standstill, the RC F can catapult itself to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 km/h.

Aside from RC F Final Edition, Lexus will also continue selling the RC 300, RC 300 AWD, and RC 350 variants. The RC 300 comes with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 245 PS with 350 Nm of torque and is connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Next is the RC 300 AWD which swaps out the 2.0L for a 3.5L naturally-aspirated V6. It puts out 263 PS with 320 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Last but not least, the RC 350 and RC 350 AWD get a more powerful 3.5L V6 that generates 315 PS and 380 Nm of pull. The AWD variant is paired with a 6-speed automatic while the RWD 350 gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

With the writing on the wall for the Lexus RC, those who plan on getting the sports coupe better let the automaker know they're interested in getting one before the vehicle is consigned to the history books. Hopefully, Lexus Philippines will make the RC F Final Edition available to PH customers.
