Rolls-Royce has officially confirmed that the company is developing its first crossover model.

This news was announced in an open letter signed by Rolls-Royce Chairman Peter Schwarzenbauer and CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes. However, the executives avoided using monikers such as "SUV" and "crossover" in describing the new model.

According to them, the model will feature the "luxury of a Rolls-Royce" in a vehicle "that can cross any terrain." It will also be a "high-bodied car" with an "all-new aluminum architecture."

Rolls-Royce has yet to announce when the model will be launched as the company intends to "perfecting this new concept in luxury."
