The Provincial Government of Bataan today marked another milestone in its push toward sustainable, future-ready governance with the official turnover of 7 units of Radar RD6 Econ 73kWh 4WD full electric pickup trucks.

The newly turned-over Radar RD6 Econ 73kWh 4WD EV pickups will be deployed to support various provincial operations, including emergency response, disaster preparedness, environmental protection, and on-ground public service, reinforcing Bataan’s reputation as one of the country’s leading provinces in sustainability and innovation.

During the ceremony, provincial leaders highlighted how the integration of electric vehicles into the LGU fleet aligns with Bataan’s long-term goals of reducing carbon emissions, lowering fuel and maintenance costs, and ensuring reliable mobility for frontline services.

“The addition of these Radar RD6 electric pickups reflects our commitment to modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible governance,” GM Bong Pizarro shared. “These vehicles will strengthen our capability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of our constituents, especially during emergencies and critical operations.”

Powered by a 73 kWh battery and advanced 4WD capability, the Radar RD6 Econ delivers pure electric performance with up to 381 PS and 485 Nm of torque, making it capable of handling LGU operations across varied terrain. With a payload capacity of up to 1 ton, a class-leading cargo bed, and a reinforced unibody structure using high-strength steel, it is built for reliability, safety, and daily utility use.

As a fully electric pickup, the RD6 Econ offers zero tailpipe emissions, maximum fuel savings, and lower maintenance requirements, resulting in a more cost-efficient total cost of ownership for government fleets. Ownership confidence is further strengthened by a 5-year or 150,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty and an 8-year or 200,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, backed by UAAGI Auto Group’s nationwide dealer network and dependable aftersales support.

“We are honored to work with the Provincial Government of Bataan, a true leader in sustainable initiatives. We are confident these units will serve the province reliably while contributing to a cleaner, more efficient future,” said Radar Brand Head Franz Decloedt.

The turnover underscores the growing role of electric vehicles in public sector operations, as more LGUs recognize the long-term economic and environmental benefits of fleet electrification.

With this latest addition to its fleet, the Bataan Capitol continues to set the standard for progressive, eco-conscious governance—proving that sustainability and public service can move forward together.
