Kia EV9 debuts in the Philippine market
Kia Philippines is having a busy year revamping their model lineup, but the one we've been waiting for is the arrival of their flagship electric SUV.
Kia had to wait a while, but at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show they finally debuted the Kia EV9, and they ticked all the options on the order sheet to give customers the premium EV experience.

The latest addition to Kia’s electric lineup has received multiple accolades on the markets where it’s already been offered, particularly with the performance of its E-GMP platform.
Designed with a future-oriented look, the EV9's front end has small cube LED projector headlights to create its unique light signature. From the side, the 5-meter long EV9 imposes its presence with boxy styling, straight angular lines and huge wheel arches that house its unique-looking set of wheels. At the rear, the body's angular shoulder line is highlighted by the LED taillights, giving a strong and muscular posture at whichever angle you look at.

Inside, the EV9's welcomes you with a panoramic wide display - combining a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 5-inch A/C screen, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. It also comes with a 14 speaker sound system from Meridian. The column-type shift-by-wire system is shared with its platform sibling, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, while it has an integrated start button to the shifter for easier vehicle operation from ignition to parking and driving. The sole variant of the EV9 is the GT-Line version that comes with captain's chairs at the second row.
The Kia EV9 GT-Line comes in a dual motor AWD setup that makes 384 PS and 700 Nm of torque paired to the 99.8 kWh battery pack.
In terms of range, the Kia EV9 can travel as far as 505 km on a single charge, and is capable of powering electronic devices using its vehicle-to-load (V2L) function. The GT-Line also comes equippes with the Kia DriveWise advanced driving assist system.
The 2025 Kia EV9 retails for PHP 5,888,000.
