Chery Auto PH reveals refreshed Tiggo 2 Pro and Tiggo 5X Pro
After giving us a glimpse of their upcoming vehicles via a teaser image, Chery Auto Philippines has officially unveiled the facelifted Tiggo 2 Pro and Tiggo 5X Pro at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). Refreshed for the 2025 model year, both crossover SUVs get a sleeker and more dynamic redesign that gives the Tiggo 2 Pro and Tiggo 5X Pro a more discerning look.

Starting with the Tiggo 2 Pro, it gets a heavily updated front fascia which gives it a more striking grille and LED daytime running lights. The result is a sportier and more upmarket appearance while retaining the signature two-tier headlight design of the pre-facelift version. Other key changes are the restyled LED headlights, new front bumper design with a faux skid plate, diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels, and updated LED taillights.

Inside, Chery was also busy giving the Tiggo 2 Pro a more refined (and more high-tech) cabin. It still has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster but is now accompanied by a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system complete with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. Also new is an updated center stack with redesigned buttons for the automatic climate control along with a bigger engine start/stop button.

The center console was also given a once-over by Chery. It now comes with a new gear selector, drive mode selector, and a button that doubles as the media volume and on/off function. Other noteworthy features include leather upholstery, a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, contrast stitching, and LED ambient lighting.

Under the hood, the Tiggo 2 Pro gets a 1.5L four-cylinder engine. It’s naturally aspirated, comes with twin cams (DOHC), and makes 116 PS with 143 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a 9-speed CVT or a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Over to the Tiggo 5X Pro, it gets a facelift reminiscent of its bigger sibling, the Tiggo 7 Pro. Thanks to a sleeker set of LED headlights, a bolder-looking octagon grille, and new vertical LED lighting signatures on the bumper, the crossover SUV looks more stylish than ever. Chery even put a new LED light bar in the back and a new set of LED taillights to finish the styling updates.

Hop inside and the cabin changes for the Tiggo 5X Pro are minimal at best. It still gets a pair of 10.25-inch high-definition displays that serve as the vehicle’s instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment. It also still gets Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, a push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, and LED ambient lighting.
As before, the Tiggo 5X Pro is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 156 PS with 230 Nm of torque. It is then paired with a 9-speed CVT complete with paddle shifters and selectable drive modes that consist of Eco and Sport.

For now, the Tiggo 5X Pro is only being previewed for the Philippine market. However, it's set to be offered next year. Meanwhile, the pricing of the 2025 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is as follows;
2025 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro MT - PHP 738,000 (PHP 718,000 cash purchase)
2025 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro CVT - PHP 888,000 (PHP 818,000 cash purchase)
