Chief executive visits latest auto store in PH
The current administration is pushing for more efficient and eco-friendly transport by way of electrification, as policies such as the EVIDA law and Executive Order 62 has encouraged vehicle brands to bring in their hybrids and electric vehicles to the Philippine market with competitive prices.
This time, the country’s chief executive is present to recognize Tesla’s arrival as a major player in the electric vehicle market. President Bongbong Marcos has graced the launching of Tesla Center Philippines in Bonifacio Global City.
In his speech, PBBM sees Tesla’s entry into the Philippine market as “a very significant step forward to our long-term transformation towards a more environment-friendly transportation system”, and believes that it will further encourage local innovation and drive new investments in the EV sector.
On its brand launch in November 2024, Tesla Philippines highlighted its plans to open multiple Supercharging stations in the country at strategic locations to cover more popular destinations.

For now, the Model 3 and Model Y represents Tesla’s initial models in the country with customer deliveries set to begin early this year. But interestingly, during the launching of Tesla Center Philippines in BGC, PBBM was given a scale model of the Cybertruck as a token from Tesla Regional Director Isabel Fan. Is it a sign of things to come? Let’s wait and see.
So who is next? Will Elon Musk visit?
