Naomi Osaka helped chose the interior colors of this limited edition Nissan GT-R
Earlier this year, Naomi Osaka became the first Japanese player to ever win a singles Grand Slam title. She then went on to join Nissan as their latest brand ambassador and even daily drives a a 2018 GT-R NISMO in the US. Now, Nissan is building a special edition GT-R to commemorate the company's partnership with the 20-year old Grand Slam Champion.

The special edition GT-R will be limited to only 50 units and will be based on the Nissan GT-R Premium edition grade. The model will only be available in three body color options – Midnight Opal, Brilliant White Pearl and Meteor Flake Black Pearl. Aside from the unique color options, the special edition GT-R has also been fitted with a dry carbon rear spoiler.
Step inside and it also features new interior color schemes developed specifically for the special edition GT-R. The interior color schemes come in three different colors – Ivory Leather Interior & Urban Black Front Seat, Amber Red Leather & Urban Black Front Seat, and Tan Leather Interior & Urban Black Front Seat. Nissan says that Osaka herself help matched the interior color schemes, which can be combined with any of the three body colors.

Under the hood, the twin-turbo VR38 engine has not been modified and continues to produce 565 PS and 633 Nm of torque. The six-speed dual clutch transmission and suspension also remain unchanged from the standard GT-R Premium. However, Nissan did add a golden vin plate in the engine bay instead of the usual silver ones found on standard models.
Pricing for the special edition GT-R will be announced at a later date. Unfortunately, it will only be offered in Japan.
