Happy 40th anniversary, NISMO
If you’re a car enthusiast going to Japan anytime soon, you might want to add this to your travel itinerary.
Nissan is celebrating the 40th anniversary of NISMO this year – the brand’s in-house tuning, motorsports, and performance division. And as part of its milestone, the brand has something in store to those who will visit their Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama.

NISMO was born to deliver the ultimate Nissan performance for road car drivers, drawing inspiration and learnings from the most unforgiving proving ground – the racetrack.

They have brought out iconic NISMO models such as the ultra-rare NISMO 270R, and the revered NISMO 400R. Furthermore, track icons such as Nissan R390 GT1, which secured 3rd place in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona-winning Nissan R91CP and Japan Touring Car Championship (JTCC) icon, the Calsonic Skyline GT-R Group A are also on display. Talk about seeing your Gran Turismo 2 heroes in the metal.

Apart from those, the current NISMO models such as the Ariya, Aura, and Fairlady Z are also there for you to check out until October 15.
In case you can’t make it until that date, there’s the 2024 NISMO Festival that’s happening on December 1 at Fuji International Speedway. With the festival dedicated for NISMO’s 40th anniversary, it’s going to be a memorable one for sure.
