More safety features made standard for 2020 Foton Traveller XL

2020 Foton Traveller XL revealed with more standard equipment, starts at Php 1.645 million

Around two years ago, Foton Philippines decided to expand their line of people carriers by bringing in the Traveller XL. Essentially bigger and longer than the standard Traveller, the Traveller XL can carry more passengers and is also more spacious.

Now, the automaker has decided to update the Traveller XL by fitting it with new equipment and features. For starters, it now has a 2-DIN touchscreen infotainment system that supports AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, USB, SD card slot, Aux, as well as video playback. This makes for a more entertaining ride for the occupants inside the van.

Foton also made sure the XL comes with a plethora of safety features. It comes with a reverse camera and rear parking sensors which make it easier to park the large people carrier. In addition, both the driver and front passenger now benefit from a dual airbag system. Anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, along with traction control have been fitted as well for added safety.

Powering the upgraded Traveller XL is the familiar 2.8-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine. It puts out 148 PS at 3600 rpm along with 325 Nm of torque at 1400 - 3000 rpm. A five-speed manual gearbox is the sole transmission option for this XL variant.

The 2020 Foton Traveller XL is available with a sticker price of Php 1,645,000. However, Foton is offering a special Php 98,000 all-in DP or Php 16,906 low monthly amortization under Foton's Fun Christmas Holideals promo. The special promo is available until December 31, 2020 and can be availed across all Foton dealerships nationwide.
